Expect the unexpected!

This book surprised me and continued to surprise me begining to end. Some might say the chapters right before Vivian's fall are a little bit too expositional, but seeing as this is the first book in the series, it didn't bother me much.
When Vivian reaches the other side of reality, the call to adventure is incredible and I found myself experiencing the same sort of wonder I had when Harry Potter first attended the Wizarding School. Vivian, who has been locked away for the greater part of her life, is now free to explore an entire universe on the edge of existence. What she finds in nonexistence is unexpected, wondrous and to a very large degree, perilous.
It's like the first time you play Terraria and you need to figure out how to survive the night.
In short, I adore this story! Everything is so well constructed and so unexpected, you feel like you are watching the actions unfold through the lens of camera.
The entire time, a movie was playing in my head and boy, was I hyper-entertained or what! Don't remember being that intellectually challenged and at the same time, entertained since watching Inception.
Vivian Amberville IS AMAZING. Do yourself a favour and read it, and you'll known for yourself why my statement deserves capital letters.
