I bought this book on a whim, because the idea appealed to me. It took a few chapters for me to really get into it, but once I did, it picked up beautifully and I couldn't put it down anymore.

Spoiler: in chapter 5 or so, when Vivian falls through a hole in the fabric of reality and discovers this chaotic parallel world, the book becomes like a drug. I haven't been this engaged with a book since reading Harry Potter.
